ECS Recruitment are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Client in Carrigtwohill Co. Cork.
Responsibilities
· Ensure compliance & safety to be a primary focus in the delivery of both customer and departmental expectations.
· Development of the warehouse/transport team to deliver on-going better service proposition to all customers & internal stakeholders.
· Work with Operation Manager to ensure cost to the business are kept in check.
· Delegating and assigning tasks and targets and evaluating the working of staff.
· Review driver performance using appropriate IT systems to ensure that they are following safe driving practices and complying with federal regulations regarding hours worked and breaks taken.
· Liaise with drivers and 3rd party carriers on transport related queries.
· Assume full ownership and accountability for your areas of responsibility.
· Transport planning/scheduling.
· Support operations to ensure the departmental and company KPI’s are achieved with timely dispatch of loads.
· Ensure that all accidents and/or potentially dangerous incidents are reported to Operations Manager and escalated to HR.

Requirements
· 3+ years’ experience in a relevant management / supervisory role.
· Competent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
· Strong knowledge of the Department of Transport regulations (Tachograph legislation, Work Time Directive etc.)
· Proven ability to manage a team to deliver the highest standards of service.
· Proven ability to be an effective decision maker with a hands-on approach to the business.
For the successful candidate this will be a full-time position working from 8:30am – 5:30pm

Salary: €40,000.00-€44,000.00 per year
