Job Summary

The Product Development Specialist is responsible for working collaboratively with the defined Line of Business (LOB) Product Managers and Product Strategy and Growth Analyst to ensure products meet corporate goals and objectives. Responsible for maintaining and organizing product details each LOB assigned. Participates in entry-level scope activities that support Product Lifecycle goals, activities, processes and programs.

Assists with deliverables from product roadmaps from development to go-to-market. Develop positive relationships with internal departments to drive collaboration and smooth transitions of products throughout its full lifecycle. Helps with revisions to program policies and procedures when needed to adjust for regulatory changes or best practices.

Evaluates product performance to help develop and inform product roadmaps amongst the product managers. Communicates effectively on existing products and procedures and recommend action as needed. Assists product managers with the preparation of forecasts, status reports, and recommended adjustments. Responsible for major contribution to project coordination, planning, and deliverables required for the identification and introduction of new products and benefits and retiring existing products and benefits.

Identifies opportunities, challenges, and solutions for impacted business segments. For applicable products, works with regulators to ensure compliance with regulations, submission/filing, and reporting requirements are met. Evaluates existing product performance and ease of administration within various areas of the business include operations, sales, quality, and clinical teams. Maintain a product lifecycle platform to house business rules, product materials, regulatory requirements, product statistics, applicable research, and other pertinent information applicable to assigned LOBs.

Qualifications

Associate degree in business, sales, or related field required. In lieu of a degree two (2) years experience in a directly related field may be considered.

Minimum 2 years experience in health insurance, health plan administration, health care, benefit administration, or benefit policy experience.
